ALEKHINE'S DEFENCE
The Scandinavian Variation

White's queen's knight supported his threatened K4(e4) pawn and sought control of Black's Q4(d5).
Black advances his QPawn (defended by Kt+Q) to double the attack on White's K4Pawn, in a variation named for its similarity to the Scandinavian (or Centre-Counter) Defence. B-Alt.
