The Kieseritzky Variation
White developed his king's bishop to dominate the diagonal leading to Black's weak KB2(f7) square.
Black adopts a line recommended by Kieseritzky, giving back the earlier pawn by advancing an undefended QKtPawn to threaten White's bishop.
