The Two Knights Variation (alt. route)
Black's QP threatened and invited an exchange to counteract White's centre control, and freed his QB.
White develops his Queen's Knight (hence the name Two Knights) to prevent 3..P-Q5 against his QKt, and to support his own P-Q4(d4).
