White developed his queen's knight to QB3(c3) contesting K4(e4) to support 2..P-Q4, 3.P-K4. Very rare compared to 2.P-QB4 or the Staunton (2.P-K4).
Black advances his Queen's Pawn to a central Q4(d5), retaking K5(e4) control and freeing his QB and queen.
