Indian Defence
THE EAST INDIAN DEFENCE

White was likely to use the Colle System (3.P-K3).
Black sets his King's Knight's Pawn on KKt3(g6), starting a king's bishop fianchetto that will dominate the long dark-squared diagonal to target and undermine White's (likely) eventual classical centre. This "east-wing" (or "king's side") Indian defence often merges into a King's Indian Grunfeld. B-Alt.
