Black's ..P-Q4 threatened White's QBP and deterred 4.P-K4, inviting 4.PxP with a plan to exploit a1-h8.
White develops his Queen's Bishop to KB4(f4), doubling control of K5(e5). One of many good replies, but allowing the Grunfeld Gambit. W-Alt.
