White develops his Queen's Knight to support his KP, deter a Black ..P-Q4 and enable 4.P-Q4, 5.BxP. A gambit (allowing Black to support his KBP) named after Estonian IGM and openings analyst Paul Keres, though the move itself is much older. W-Alt.
