The Old Variation
Black's QP took White's QBP for more open play (the only downside his QB tending to get shut in).
White pushes his KPawn out one square to double his QP support against 3..P-K4 or 3..P-QB4, and frees his KB to attack Black's doubled QBP for a quick gambit pawn recovery. Solid but inferior, it may yet lead back to the main. W-Alt.
