aka. The Blümich Variation
Black set a QP with KP support, threatening White's undefended QBP but aiming to maintain the centre.
White adopts the Neo-Catalan Opening from the Reti, withholding his QP but setting his KKtPawn on KKt3(g3) so as to fianchetto his KB. Categorised as an English variant since 1960s ECO coding. W-Alt.
