Black develops his King's Bishop to half-pin White's QKt and QP. Best non-symmetrical move, but seen more in the Russian 3Kts. (Petroff) after 3..Kt-KB3 (compare). Many prefer the Steinitz 3..P-KKt3 or (in club play) 3..Kt-KB3 (for the 4Kts. Game). B-Alt.
