MODERN BENONI DEFENCE
The Petrosyan System (aka. Czech Benoni)

White refused Black's QBP and moved his QP on.
Black's King's Pawn advance to a central K4(e5) frees his KB to support his QBP. Russian Tigran Petrosyan won the World Chess Championship in 1963. Also called the Czech Benoni (after Karel Hromadka), leading to passive play. B-Alt.
