BLACKBURNE SHILLING GAMBIT
The Trap Variation

Black's irregular QKt advance left his KP en prise.
White's King's Knight captures the gambit KP for a dual attack on Black's KBP instead of a safe 4.P-QB3 or 4.KtxKt or 4.0-0 - but a trap ensues, often ending in smothered mate! Blackburn used to trap chess café visitors with this line for a shilling a stake. W-Alt.
