The English (aka. Accel. Panov) Variation
Black planned a supported 2..P-Q4 for a Queen's Gambit, Slav Defence or a Caro-Kann variation.
White departs from the main 2.P-Q4 line, advancing his Queen's Bishop's Pawn to challenge Black's intended 2..P-Q4. Also called the Accelerated Panov as it sets up for the Panov Attack. W-Alt.
