White's KKt took control of the dark Q4+K5(d4+e5) centre to enable 3.P-Q4 without a forced 4.P-Q5.
Black's Queen's Pawn advance to Q4(d5) frees his QB and challenges White's QBP. Inferior to 2..Kt-KB3 but allowing for a QPG Accelerated Tarrasch. It arises more often via the Reti. B-Alt.
