TRANSPOSITION
FRANCO-INDIAN to DUTCH DEFENCE (main line)

White's pawn to QB4(c4), reserving Kt-QB3, contested Q5(d5) to avoid the French Defence.
Black often transposes into the Dutch Defence main by advancing his King's Bishop's Pawn to KB4(f5), his active counterplay taking control of K5(e4). This polular route into the Dutch has avoided facing the Staunton Gambit (1.P-Q4..P-KB4, 2.P-K4!). B-Alt.
