Variation
White advanced a gambit KBP to tempt White aside.
Black declines the gambit but develops his Queen's Knight to defend his KP - a sound but unambitious reply, usually made for transpositional purposes. In most tournaments Black accepts by 2..PxP for the greater defences available after. B-Alt.
