The Classical Variation
White plans to control the centre by indirect play (effectively playing a reversed Queen's Fianchetto Defence with a move in hand) but Black, if proficient, should have no trouble in equalising.
Black's Queen's Pawn takes the opportunity to fill the vacant centre unopposed, freeing his QB and taking control of White's K4(e4). B-Alt.
