White pushed his QBPawn one square to support an intended 4.P-Q4 for a strong pawn centre.
Black advances a sound King's Bishop's Pawn gambit to KB4(f5) to distract White from playing an aggressive 4.P-Q4 for control of the centre. Similar to the (dubious) Rousseau gambit. B-Alt.
