White developed his KKt to support his QP, and avoided the Nimzo-Indian 3.Kt-QB3..B-Kt5 line.
Black usually adopts its sister defence the Queen's Indian in response, planning to fianchetto his QB so as to gain control and occupation of White's K4(e4). This is the main approach line (of four). B-Alt.
