The Chigorin Variation (aka. Richter Var.)
White and Black began with mutual queen's pawns.
White develops his Queen's Knight to threaten Black's QPawn and to support a planned 3.P-K4. This line is sometimes called the Richter Variation because it can quickly lead to the Richter-Veresov Attack, White's QB being free. W-Alt.
