Chess Board
LONDON SYSTEM
The multi-purpose London System is characterized by the algebraic moves d4, Nf3, Bf4, e3, c3, Nbd2. It first came to prominence as a way for White to meet hyper-modern setups in London in 1922 (see London V., East Indian Def.) but lacking aggression the system is nowadays associated more often with Black (eg. London V., Anglo-Slav Def. or London V., QP Game). Can be used (as White) against all except perhaps 1..c5, 1..e6 and 1..g6.
1.P-Q4.., 2.Kt-KB3.., 3.B-B4..,
 4.P-K3.., 5.P-B3.., 6.QKt-Q2..
