ChessOps - Opening SYSTEMS

Several openings are called "systems" because they involve a number of moves (usually interchangeable) being made independent of an opponent's moves, to set up a combined defensive formation or structure. For example:

Barcza System
Colle System
King's Indian Defence
King's Indian Attack
London System
Queen's Indian Defence
Staunton System
Stonewall Formations
