The Wade Defence
White developed his king's knight so that Black may occupy the centre and give an early target to attack.
Black rejects White's offer but moves his Queen's Pawn one square to fight for control of his K4(e5) and free his queen's bishop for rapid development to KKt5(g4). The Wade often transposes into the Philidor or the Sicilian Defence. B-Alt.
