Black's KKt counterattacked White's KP to simplify the centre and avoid Scotch and Spanish lines.
White develops his Queen's Knight to QB3(c3). Seen less often, it deters 3..P-Q4 but gives White less opportunities than the 3.KtxP main and allows Black to transpose into the Four Kts. Game. W-Alt.
